YOU!

I let him know my day was going just swell, yet my curiosity was creeping in, “What are you thinking about?” 

“YOU!” he wrote loudly. I could feel his energy through the phone.

“Right… I got that. What about ME?” I played along. 

“That look!” Jason interrupted buzzing through my moment with Bowie. I mouthed, Stop and shot him a look. “Uh oh. I think I just got the look. This is not over. Whatever it is that’s making you smile like that, keep it going. I like seeing you smile,” he said grinning. I softened my eyes on Jason when another buzz from my phone came in from another classmate.

“Okay, what am I missing with you two? We can all see you laughing and giving each other looks,” Carly said.

I was getting frustrated.
The three little dots kept moving. He’s still typing. I turned off my video and decided to take a five minute break and my phone began buzzing, one after the other. I had extremely nosy, I mean caring classmates.

You okay?
Hey, your camera is down, are you doing okay?
Saw you left, everything alright?

Oh my god, I thought. Can’t a girl go pee in privacy? I smiled at their concern. Yes, I had used this moment to take a “bio break”.

Then the phone buzzed. “The nun and the priest, that’s all I got. A girl who is willing to go there, you got me. I want to know more.” Seriously, the nun and the priest. I am not going there. You can use your imagination. Don’t go to the dark side. It was light and fun. If I’m being honest, a part of me was slightly proud of myself for going there. 

“Nun and the priest huh?” Texting a flirty emoji with a symbol of a cross. “I simply confessed,” I said innocently.

“Is that what that was? A confession? You’re welcome in my box for any further sins you may need to get off your chest,” he sent a laugh emoji. I laughed and shook my head, what have I gotten myself into?
